Your First Appointment

We are here to help you and do our best to make you feel at ease.

As a "new patient" you will receive a consultation to discuss your dental history any dental problems you may be experiencing. Your teeth, gums and surrounding tissues are closely examined and recorded.

The consultation will also involve a screening for oral cancer (as is performed at every check up). Your jaw joint (tempero mandibular joint) is also checked for common problems.

A full-treatment plan will be made at this appointment before any treatment is undertaken. We will discuss the procedures needed and outline the options available. An estimated cost will be provided and your next appointment booked.

Appointments

Appointments are often booked six months in advance. You will receive a phone call, or a text message the previous day as a reminder.

Please ensure that you inform us of any change of address or phone number. If you have to cancel an appointment we require, whenever possible, 24 hours notice.

Emergency Appointments

If you are in pain during surgery hours, please telephone and every effort will be made to see you as soon as possible. If you are in pain outside surgery hours please call our dental practice number and listen to the answer phone message to which will provide the emergency numbers.

Denplan

'The Dental Centre' is a Denplan registered practice. Denplan allows you to be treated as a private patient. It is a monthly payment scheme which covers the cost of regular examinations, x-rays and routine treatment. You are also insured for accident and emergency cover. Disabled Facilities

Facilities for disabled patients We have ground floor facilities for wheelchair access. We have completed an assessment to conform to the Disability Act, and have completed all the recommendations made to us.
